Concrete Pool of the Year
Rod Hardy Plunge Pools "Villa Giles"
Villa Giles presents a refined interpretation of tropical outdoor living. A clean-lined rectangular pool & separate spa from the architectural hear of the backyard, framed by expansive natural tiled surrounds designed for relaxation and entertaining. Lush tropical gardens soften the modern geometry, creating a balanced connection between the pool and its surrounds. The space delivers a refined simplicity, comfort and retreat like atmosphere right at home.
"We are happy owners of a Rod Hardy Pool. The pool looks amazing and has transformed our back garden into a tropical oasis!
When we started looking for a pool builder we wanted someone who would take responsibility end to end and that is Rod (and the team did). From tree removal, demolition of our old pool, excavation, form work, concrete shell, pebblecrete interior, pool equipment, tiling all done to the highest of standards.
We started with a concept and some badly drawn (by us) sketches of what we thought we wanted and Rod with his many years' worth of knowledge guided and advised us on what was possible and would look good. We knew from our first meeting with Rod (& Cameron) that Rod was a builder we could trust. We worked together and tweaked a few things along the way. Rod Hardy Pools are honest, genuine, professional and have given us the pool of our dreams! Thanks Rod, Cameron, Maddie and team!" Rod Hardy Plunge Pools
Freeform Pool of the Year
Rod Hardy Plunge Pools "Girraween Lagoon"
Designed as a tropical sanctuary, Girraween Lagoon blends water, landscape and form into one cohesive environment. The freeform pool and custom-built pond and garden bed seamlessly flow together into the surrounding environment, creating a natural lagoon- style retreat. Organic curves, natural stone and lush planting soften the space, delivering a tranquil backyard oasis that reflects the relaxed outdoor lifestyle of the Northern Territory.
"Visually the project has a strong connection to the surrounding environment as its freeform shape and the natural contours of the landscape blend seamlessly, allowing it to integrate comfortably within the tropical backyard rather than dominate it." Rod Hardy Plunge Pools
